Who We Are
Serving Rochester Families Since 1927
For more than 80 years, Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home has served Rochester families with unsurpassed funeral services. It all started in 1927, when Norbert E. Vay opened the Norbert E. Vay Funeral Home at 604 Maple Street. When Kenneth P. Schleich became a firm partner in 1968, the firm’s name changed to Vay & Schleich Funeral Home.
Douglas C. Meeson joined the company in 1968, and in 1983 the firm changed its name once again to Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home. In 2004, Douglas Meeson’s children Mark D. Meeson, Scott D. Meeson and Katie Meeson Hebert joined the business.
Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home is renowned as one of the oldest and most preferred funeral homes in the area. After more than 80 years of excellence, we continue to serve the community’s families with compassion, respect and dignity in their greatest time of need.
