For more than 80 years, Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home has served Rochester families with unsurpassed funeral services. It all started in 1927, when
Norbert E. Vay opened the Norbert E. Vay Funeral Home at 604 Maple Street. When Kenneth P. Schleich became a firm partner in 1968, the firm’s name changed
to Vay & Schleich Funeral Home.
Douglas C. Meeson joined the company in 1968, and in 1983 the firm’s name changed to Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home. In 1985, Douglas C. Meeson
and Robert E. Vay (Norbert’s great-nephew) purchased the business with locations on Maple Street and Dewey Avenue.
Now located at 1075 Long Pond Road, Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home is renowned as the oldest family-owned and operated funeral home in the town of
Greece. After more than 80 years of excellence, we continue to serve the community’s families with compassion, respect and dignity in their greatest time of need.
Our mission is to create a meaningful ceremony that celebrates a life lived and honors the memory of your loved one with compassion, respect and dignity. We will provide unparalleled personal service, unmatched facilities and guaranteed value to every family that calls upon our family.
