Leon R. Bufano

Rochester: May 30, 2018 at age 94. Survived by his loving and devoted wife, Judy Bufano; children, Craig (Linda Schlaffer), Lynn Edger & Edie Gunther; step-sister, Joan Nicolosi; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews & cousins; loving family & dear friends. Predeceased by his parents, Charles (Anne) Bufano; siblings, Pauline (Thomas) Cardile, Modesta (Frank) Lalinga, Lawrence (Dorothy) Bufano, Eugene (Lucille) Bufano, Paul (Anna) Bufano, & Lucille (William) Bowman.

Leon graduated from Ithaca College. He was a proud veteran as a Flight Officer in the United States Army 1944-46, a retired Lieutenant Colonel veteran of the United States Air Force Reserves 1948-1984. He retired after 44 years as chief Physical Therapist at Visiting Nurse Service and established the rehabilitation facility at St. Ann’s Community. Leon was an animal lover and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Leon’s visitation will be held Monday, June 4th 9-11 AM where his celebration of life will follow at 11 AM with military honors at Vay-Schleich & Meeson 1075 Long Pond Rd., Greece Chapel.
