Seil, Millicent

Spencerport: Millie passed away peacefully on November 20, 2017 following a long illness. She was surrounded by the love and prayers of her family. Survived by her devoted husband of 61 years Chester; children, Mark and Theresa (Debra Celestino) Seil; loving granddaughters, Erika Marie and Melissa Ann Seil; sister-in-law, Angie Guarino; many nieces and nephews. The youngest of six children, Millie was predeceased by her parents, Angelo and Vincenza Guarino; brothers, Anthony, Frank and Angelo; sisters, Virginia and Grace.
A graduate of John Marshall high school, Millie worked at Eastman Kodak prior to marrying her true love from the neighborhood, Chet. Millie was a stay at home mom and Cub Scout den mother for many years before returning to school to obtain her Cosmetology license. She opened her salon (Millicent’s Coiffures) in her home and operated there for nearly 20 years. She later worked at Rite Aid and Preferred Care until she retired. Millie and Chet enjoyed many annual trips to their honeymoon destination of Las Vegas, simple drives on a sunny afternoon, and time with their family.
Millie was a loving and compassionate mom known for her crafts, cooking, baking and sewing talents. She leaves the gifts of love, honesty, devotion and humor to her family. She will be deeply missed and carried forever in our hearts.
The family wishes to thank the amazing staff at Cottage Grove Memory Care and the nurses of Lifetime Care for their loving care for mom over the past several months. Their compassion and dedication is proof that angels truly do walk among us each day.
Millie’s visitation will be held Tuesday, November 28th 4-8 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, November 29th 11:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 55 Martha St. Spencerport, NY. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. "We greatly appreciated everything you did to make dad’s funeral special and unique. If he could thank you himself he would. Your kindness will never be forgotten. Thank you ever so much."
