Greece: Virginia F. Van Ingen, age 100, went to be with the Lord on April 8, 2019, surrounded by her family. She is predeceased by her husband, the Hon. Jack Van Ingen, and son Russell. She is survived by her cousins Nancy (Don) Curran, Colleen (Alan) Campbell, and step children Lane (Brenda) Van Ingen, Connie (Kerim) Babaoglo, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Virginia lived life to the fullest! She loved going new places and meeting new people. If you knew Virginia, she thought you were either wonderful or beautiful! Her kind heart and compassion drew people to her, and we were better off knowing her. Her husband was a judge in the Town of Webster; he was often referred to as “the marrying Judge.” Virginia and Jack were a great team and the thousands of couples whose marriage ceremonies they officiated still tell their stories today of their great wedding experiences.

Virginia lived at the Villages at Unity for over 20 years and loved every moment of it. With all of the social opportunities the Villages offered, Virginia was busy making many friends with the residents as well as the employees.

Virginia’s visitation will be held Saturday, April 20th 10-11 AM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson, 1075 Long Pond Rd. where her celebration of life will follow at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment, Webster Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to First Bible Baptist Church, 990 Manitou Rd, Hilton, NY 14468. For more information and to sign her online guestbook, visit

Knowing she trusted Jesus Christ as her Savior, we have great peace knowing she is with the Lord where her life really begins. We love you and miss you Virginia, and look forward to seeing you again.

"We greatly appreciated everything you did to make dad’s funeral special and unique. If he could thank you himself he would. Your kindness will never be forgotten. Thank you ever so much."
