Greece: Passed away peacefully at the age of 98. Predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Leonard; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Schultz (Statt); foster son, Jimmy Oleksyn; brother, Lt. Colonel Ernest (Bud) House; brother-in-law, Dick Quetschenbach; sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Webster and her husband, Ray Webster; brother-in-law, Ronald Lockwood.

Vivian is survived by her sisters, Arleen Quetschenbach, Judy Lockwood; sister-in-law, Patricia House of NM; daughter, Suzanne (David) Geisler; sons, John (Dores) of NC, Dan (Beth) of PA, Steven (Pat Gardner), Charles (Mary), Anthony (Serena) Oleksyn; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; many loving nieces and nephews along with her caregiver & friend, Magdalena (Lenka) Horwath.

Vivian was a long time member of The Park Ridge Auxiliary and St. Theodore’s Church. She supported several organizations including Holy Family Parish Credit Union, the Park Ridge Chemical Dependency bookstore, and The Catholic Charities Foster Children Program. In addition to raising 7 children she also worked outside the home at Eastman Kodak, General Motors, and St. Mary’s Hospital.

The family would like to thank the 5th floor staff of St. Ann’s Community for their compassionate care and support.

Vivian’s visitation will be held Friday, November 30th 3-7 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson, 1075 Long Pond Road where her Funeral Service will be celebrated Saturday December 1st 9:30 AM in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment, White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Park Ridge Auxiliary, St. Ann’s Community or Greece Volunteer Ambulance in her memory.
